3D Tours partnered with Ferndale's increasingly popular B. Nektar Meadery to bring a four-course mead pairing dinner personally prepared by the inimitable Chef Paul Grosz at Cuisine. Judging by the way everyone swarmed the mead table afterwards to take their own home, I think they liked it!

3D partnered with bike rental & service shop Wheelhouse Detroit to tour Eastern Market. We sampled olives and Mediterranean dishes at Gabriel Import Co., artisan cheeses at R. Hirt, & a variety of mussels & Bloody Marys at Vivio's. We also rode through the scenic Dequindre Cut & newly-expanded Riverwalk.

3D discovered the tastes of Southwest Detroit with Taquerias & Tequila, where we visited some of the lesser-known establishments including Cafe Con Leche, Mexicantown Fiesta Lounge, Giovanna's, La Tapitata Taqueria, Armando's...and a genuine taco truck!

At 3D's Coffee Tour at Chazzano Coffee Roasters in Ferndale we learned about the different flavor profiles of coffee (double that of wine), proper roasting and brewing techniques, different coffee regions, and how the slightest changes in brewing temperature and roasting time create subtle taste differences. You'll never look at Starbucks the same way again!

Discover Detroit Dining's launch outing took us to three different local breweries--Bastone, Kuhnhenn, and Sherwood--where we drank beer. LOTS of beer. Good beer. And ate good food. Did I mention beer?
